Sustainable land development to create attractive business locations in the northern Ruhr region (JTF)
From brownfield mining sites to attractive locations for future industries - the state of NRW and the EU are supporting this transformation with a funding offer in the northern Ruhr region.
Creating attractive business locations, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises, on brownfield mining sites in the northern Ruhr region - that is the aim of the "Sustainable land development to create attractive business locations in the northern Ruhr region (JTF)" funding program. The aim is to create areas for innovative industries in the cities of Bottrop, Dorsten, Gladbeck and Marl by 2030. The focus of the funding is on companies and start-ups that promote the ecological, climate-friendly, resource- and space-efficient transformation of the economy in North Rhine-Westphalia. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the EU are providing around 90 million euros for the funding offer from the Just Transition Fund/JTF.
Revitalization and renaturation of brownfield sites
Funding is available for land development projects, in particular for the revitalization, upgrading, development, activation and renaturation of brownfield sites, including the services required for this, for example in the area of planning or project management. Land development should primarily focus on revitalizing and renaturing brownfield sites from mining and the coal and steel industry, taking into account the polluter pays principle.
